Local Support Services
Carers - n-compass
Offer support and guidance to a person who cares for a relative or friend.
Lancashire Young Carers
We are funded through Lancashire County Council and East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group and are the commissioned service for Lancashire with the responsibility for assessing all Young Carers across the County.
We support Young Carers under the age of 18 who provide regular and ongoing care and emotional support to a family member who is physically or mentally ill, disabled or misuses substances and are significantly affected by their caring role.
National Support Services
Carers UK
Caring will affect us all at some point in our lives. We’ll be here for you when that happens. With your help, we can be there for the 6,000 people who start looking after someone each day.
Carers Trust
Carers Trust is a major charity for, with and about carers. They work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. Their vision is that unpaid carers count and can access the help they need to live their lives.
