Now the national booking system has closed for flu and COVID-19 bookings, vaccine bookings will be more locally led in areas where uptake is low.

The materials in this toolkit are designed to support public communications around autumn/ winter 2023-24 flu and COVID-19 vaccinations from 15th December when the vaccine offer became locally led.

National support will include reactive communications in response to high hospitalisations or high levels of flu and COVID-19 circulating and continuing to encourage staff to come forwards by speaking with their employer.

Local communications should continue to focus on the benefits of the vaccines and that it is not too late to book. Please ensure that in your communications moving forwards you provide clear directions on how and where people can get their vaccinations in your area.
