Appointments

For non-urgent issues, please follow the guidelines below and choose the right service. An appointment may not be necessary.

This will help us to be more efficient by making an appointment available to you when you need it the most.

Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day-except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.

How to Cancel an Appointment

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give us as much notice as possible so that your appointment can be offered to someone else.

If you are cancelling please telephone us on 01253 890219.

Alternatively, you can cancel your appointment using The NHS App if you are signed up for the service.

Pharmacy

Pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals who can offer clinical advice, over the counter medicines and their use, to effectively and safely manage a range of minor health concerns. They can also help you to decide whether you'll need to see a doctor. You don't need an appointment and you won't even be asked to make a purchase. Every pharmacy also has a private consultation area for you to talk about your symptoms in private if you prefer.

GP / Clinical Appointments

We operate a same-day booking system for appointments. We ask our patients to call us in the morning for a same-day telephone appointment. The clinician will ring you and if appropriate, will offer you a face-to-face appointment for later in the day. Our doctors have 40% of appointments in their sessions for their use only. These are used when they wish to review a patient again or if they need to see a patient following a phone call.

Where appropriate, we do have a number of appointments that can be booked in advance.

Clinical Practitioner Appointments

We continue to offer same-day urgent telephone appointments for minor self-limiting complaints that cannot be managed by the local pharmacy with our clinical practitioner. These are not intended for long term conditions.

Fleetwood Same Day Health Centre

On a daily basis, we can access a limited number of appointments for our patients who have acute self-limiting conditions to attend, these are useful if you need to book for later in the day - 8am to 10pm.

Nurse Appointments

You can pre-book nurses appointments over the telephone. Our nurses provide specialised appointments for Diabetes, Asthma/COPD, Hypertension, Stroke, Rheumatology, and Chronic Heart Disease. See our clinics and services page for more information.

Home Visits

Please ring the surgery as early as possible in the day when requesting a home visit on 01253 890219.

Home visits will be available for our most vulnerable and housebound patients.

We will endeavour to maintain continuity of care but cannot guarantee a specific doctor will visit you as this depends on availability, as well as some other factors.

The decision to undertake a home visit will be at the doctors’ discretion.
